Trout Valley offers exquisite, luxurious self-catering accommodation, world class flyfishing for trophy trout on exclusive private waters as well as being a stunning game farm with many walking or cycling trails for those that enjoy relaxing country time. The Longmeadow estate, of which Trout Valley is the largest property, has a rich history. Originally for the exclusive use of Anglo American directors only, this amazing property is, for the first time in many years now available for rental. Guests staying at Trout Valley house will be able to also fish the Longmeadow farm waters during their stay.

The Farms

Trout Valley lies nestled in a glade hidden from public view. Not far out of the village in the direction of Lydenburg, a vehicle of any clearance can easily drive on the paved road right to the farmhouse door in minutes.

Longmeadow is known for its established meadows, fruit orchards and a line of 100-year-old Copper elms.

Your Experience

Exceptional fly fishing thanks to the unique combination of a pristine water supply, dedicated management and virtually zero rod pressure, hardly ever being fished. These waters have produced stunning trophy Rainbow and Brown trout to double figures and with the ongoing scientific fishery management by Jonathan Boulton and the Mavungana Flyfishing team the fishery will grow even further in stature.

In addition, the veld surrounding the properties offer a host of outdoor activities to be enjoyed in total privacy. The beauty of the pristine rolling highveld grasslands, and vibrant wetlands make for a flora and fauna experience unrivalled elsewhere in the area.

Trout Valley (as is the Longmeadow fishery) is situated in very close proximity to the quaint village of Dullstroom with all its attractions.
