Longmeadow Lodge
Longmeadow Lodge
This iconic property seen from the main road was the original Anglo Trout retreat. The stillwater with its casting decks is one of myth and legend and is the water anyone who drove into town wanted to get to fish.
The main farm house at Longmeadow is over 90 years old and has been beautifully restored and converted into the ultimate luxury self-catering lodge, which can sleep up to 10 people.
The house features five bedrooms (three of which are en-suite), a central dining room and a lounge area with a stove fireplace of classic period design. In addition there is a, covered entertainment area outside, as well as a lovely breakfast nook on the Eastern side enjoying the morning sun. The main spacious veranda looks North over the grounds, the pools of the Crocodile River and up to the dam. There is a large outside braai/fire pit and a separate tackle room and playroom.
The property is serviced daily by a team of highly experienced housekeepers.
